Must Eat: Cleo

After months of trying to coordinate our schedules, we finally met up with our awesome friends Evie and Vince for dinner in Hollywood!  J and I had been to Cleo before for our friend Steph's birthday party back in September. That was when the Redbury / Cleo just opened, and we really enjoyed the food.  We were equally pleased this time around. The ambiance is kind of urban glam and the food (small plates) is fun, and for the most part, very well executed.

The exposed kitchen design.

tuna tartare and the crispy flatbread
the oysters were good, but the garnish left a little to be desired.
E wanted some tabasco sauce and they told her they did not have any. :(
This photo is a bit dark, but in the forefront as a mushroom side that was fantastic, roasted japanese peppers (one or my favorites!) and yummy artichokes.
The waitress highly recommended their brussel sprouts. These were roasted leaves tossed with
capers, sliced almonds and vinegrette.  It was a tasty dish!
In the center of this photo is the moussaka which I really enjoyed.
They also had a lamb shank special which was fantastic!
Dessert was also a hit! This was their "chocolate bar"
Bread pudding. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!
