One of the many wonderful things about living in Santa Monica is its great farmers markets. There are four per week (info below), but many have described Wednesday as the favorite amongst chefs and foodies. The downside is that it runs from 8:30am-1:30pm, which makes it nearly impossible for full time employed people to go to.
Since I'm currently transitioning between jobs, I was able to go today. I was not disappointed - it was such a great feeling to walk among fruit, vegetables, flowers. I couldn't help but pick up a few items as well.
I love this exotic flower. It is so interesting!
Golden plums and super sweet black grapes
A new succulent plant, a sprig of rosemary and some figs
If you can't make it Wednesdays, then my second favorite is the one on Sunday on Main Street. For more information, see below. Please note, information taken directly from the following website:http://www.santamonica.com/visitors/what-to-do/attractions/farmers-markets/
