Brunch: 26 Beach, Venice, CA

This morning, we met up with our friends S & A for breakfast at 26 Beach. Arriving once they opened at 9am, we beat the rush (when we left at 10am, there was a line at the door!).  We decided on this place after reading about it's 4 star reviews on yelp.

Although it is not on the beach, as the name might suggest -the ambience was very cute and we sat in the covered patio. The  menu was extensive and each of us struggled to make a decision there were so many appealing sounding options.
Ultimately, we all passed on the sweet options (though the french toast looked decadent as the waiter brought a plate to the table next to us).   I ordered the chilaquiles, which was quite nice. The others ordered different variations of "Royales" which were bowls consisting of eggs, vegetable or meat and brown rice.  The ones tried included the Crab Royale, the Jamaican Royale and the Diablo Royale.  Portions were generous and filling. The white sangria and bloody mary were also quite nice.
