Must Eat: Brunch at Off Vine, Hollywood, CA

After a fun morning of horseback riding through Griffith Park last weekend, we went to brunch with our friends at Off Vine in Hollywood, CA. It was such a pleasant dining experience. The ambience was fantastic- we sat on the patio which was lovely and cozy.  The food was also fantastic ....and their souffle (chocolate or grand marnier) is the real deal ..... this is now one of my new favorite spots for brunch in LA.
Complimentary banana bread - among the best i've ever had!!!

Plate of fresh baked to order cinnamon bunlets were melt in your mouth good...
Hearty, comforting, french toast
Smoked Salmon, shitake mushroom, scallion and egg scramble. This was incredible! I have had a good sampling of scrambles (Westville in NYC has a great selection), but this was one of the best I've had. It was so full of flavor, and so satisfying.

For dessert, we ordered one chocolate, and one grand marnier souffle.  My friend Steph and I used to always go to this cafe in Brentwood for their chocolate/grand marnier souffles, but since they closed several years ago - we've been looking for a replacement. I've had pretty good souffle at Bottega Louie, absolutely terrible (as in "this is souffle? yuck") souffle at Rockenwagner @ satnat monica place, but I think they really nailed it here. Bravo. :)
